Principal's Message

Welcome back! The staff at Sedley School look forward to serving our students and community in the 2023-2024 school year. Our goal is to learn together by providing a safe, respectful, and caring atmosphere with hope that all students will reach their desired potential. We believe through engaging learning activities along with extra-curricular opportunities in leadership, athletics, and aesthetics, that students will find a sense of fulfillment in their school experience. Our Learning Improvement Plan demonstrates a commitment to align with the Provincial Education Plan and the Strategic Plan of Prairie Valley School Division. All staff members are committed to actions address the pillars of the Provincial Education Plan: Ensuring students have skills and knowledge for the future; Mental Health and Well-Being of students and staff; Connections and relationships; and providing safe and inclusive environments for all. More specifically, at the school level our work will be focused on Grade 1 to 4 reading, Grade 5 to 8 mathematical problem solving strategies, mental health, and, continuing to invest in our relationships with students and community. The school's LIP is the foundation of our day-to-day work as we strive to make Sedley School a great place for students and community.
